History of Bensonhurst Market
In November of 1993, our family was fortunate enough to purchase Super Duper Supermarket from three original family partners who were looking to transition their careers and go their separate ways.
The structure was anything from a Synagogue that was exposed to a fire, a flea market and even a pool hall all before it became “Super Duper” the neighborhood supermarket.
As the neighborhood transformed in the early 90’s to today, so did the name and layout of the store. From Super Duper to Fine Fare, then Met Foods and finally Bensonhurst Market, keeping our mission of being a part of the neighborhood with service and cleanliness at the forefront.
As a second-generation owner & operator, I hope we can continually fulfill the needs of the neighborhood and adapt as we have always had, to the ever changing and iconic, Bensonhurst Brooklyn.
